NSW Police investigate after woman stabbed in head at Bondi Beach

A woman has been rushed to hospital after she was stabbed in the head at Bondi Beach.

A woman has been rushed to hospital after she was stabbed in the head at an Eastern Suburbs charity.

Police were called to Wayside Chapel on Roscoe St, Bondi Beach about 11am after reports the woman had been attacked inside.

The 36-year-old woman was treated for a head injury at the scene and taken to hospital in a stable condition.

One local told the Telegraph a man had left the building and the woman was taken away with a head wound.

Others said they were only aware of the incident when emergency services arrived.

“It was a bit hectic, we didn’t know what was going on until we saw a bunch of sirens,” a nearby construction worker said.

The property is just metres from Bondi Beach police station and detectives are combing the street for CCTV to piece together what happened.

Wayside Chapel is a beloved community organisation in the eastern suburbs, praised by locals for its work in drug rehabilitation and domestic violence.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident has commenced.

Police have urged anyone with information, CCTV footage or dashcam vision to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
