Two people are in hospital after they were stabbed within an hour of each other in two separate attacks on Tuesday night.
In the first incident, police were called to Woodroffe St in Minto shortly before 11pm where a 40-year-old was found with stab wounds to his stomach.
He was treated by an off-duty nurse before paramedics arrived.
Officers said the man was rushed to Liverpool Hospital in a serious condition.
A large number of police are still at the scene looking for the potential suspects.
It was reported there were a number of young people in the area.
Less than an hour later, police responded to reports of a robbery in Sydney’s west.
Emergency services raced to the Alfred Street Bridge in Parramatta where a 25-year-old woman had suffered minor stabbing injuries and a 28-year-old male with a small laceration to his forearm.
The injured woman was treated at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to Westmead Hospital for further treatment.
She is listed in a stable condition.
Police established a crime scene and detectives commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
