One of Alen Moradian’s closest allies and high ranking Comanchero associates Mohamad “Moey” Alameddine returned to Sydney just two days ago after a three month break overseas.
Alameddine, also known as “Almo”, is more closely aligned to the Comanchero bikie gang than the crime family he shares a name with, but is considered one of the most powerful figures in the Sydney underworld.
Sources said the two were very close and that Alameddine would be very upset about the callous killing of his mate.
The 39-year-old has come home despite NSW police hitting him with a Serious Crime Prevention Order two weeks ago in the NSW Supreme Court.
Alen Moradian was listed on court papers as being a person Alameddine was not allowed to associate with.
The order also allows police to monitor his movements intensely, including what mobile phone he uses, where he can live and what car he can drive.
He has to notify them of any change of address or vehicle beforehand.
Alameddine is one of a few high-profile criminals hit with one of these orders, including Comanchero bikies Tarek Zahed and Allan Meehan.
The 39-year-old flew to Dubai on Anzac Day with many believing he would not return.
Police said there are now more than 80 crime figures who have left Sydney because of the constant pressure being applied by squads such as Raptor, Criminal Groups and homicide detectives attached to the NSW State Crime Command.
The Daily Telegraph has revealed notorious underworld figure Moradian - who was gunned down in a daylight execution in Bondi Junction - was a drug importing bikie boss from Iraq, who had links to at least four other organised crime murders on Sydney’s streets.
Moradian’s murder is the biggest of a two-and-a-half year underworld war, with it occurring in the heart of Sydney’s eastern suburbs, with no shortage of enemies who wanted him dead.
The 48-year-old has been a major player in the city’s organised crime circles for decades, and had links to at least four of the 17 other murders that have occurred on the city’s streets since late-2020.
He had partied with Marvin Oraiha in a CBD hotel room before the 24-year-old was shot dead next to his girlfriend outside his home in Elizabeth Hills last month.
Now both men are dead and police will probe any links.
Moradian was also known to be an associate of three of the other victims of the gang war – Lametta Fadlallah, Mahmoud “Brownie” Ahmad and Mejid Hamzy.
