Melissa Caddick: Conwoman’s father-in-law hits out at Anthony Koletti

Rodo Koletti has criticised his son Anthony for giving a TV interview over wife Melissa Caddick’s disappearance, asking if he had relayed his murder theories to police.

The father of conwoman Melissa Caddick’s husband has queried why he gave a paid television tell-all, while saying: “He only had $1.95 in his bank account; he’s got to make an income somehow.”

Rodo Koletti said it had only been a matter of time before his son Anthony Koletti, 39, agreed to do a paid interview – one in which he told Channel 7’s Spotlight program his missing financial adviser wife was murdered.

“My suspect list is long,” Anthony said during the interview, which aired Sunday night. “If it came out, if the police came to me and said she was murdered, I would be like, ‘Yeah, that makes sense now’,” he said.

The mobile hairdresser and DJ still lives at Dover Heights in the luxury two-storey home he shared with his wife of seven years, to the dismay of investors who have lost a combined $23 million.

“Why has he done the interview now, 11 months after she disappeared?” his father Rodo said.

“If he’s got relevant information about Melissa’s disappearance I hope he provided it to the police at the time she went missing and not aired his views on TV for the first time.

“We didn’t know anything about him appearing on television until we heard along with the rest of the general public in the news.

“It was just a question of time before he did a paid TV interview. He only had $1.95 in his bank account; he’s got to make an income somehow.”

Anthony Koletti and Melissa Caddick Melissa, 49, were married for seven years and lived a luxury life of expensive holiday before she vanished last November.

Anthony told Spotlight last night: “I can’t keep silent any longer. It’s time for the truth to come out.”

In the interview, which comes just weeks after police shut the books on the investigation into Caddick’s fate, Anthony denied he had any part in helping his wife escape scrutiny over defrauding millions from clients who included family members and close family friends.

He was the last person known to have seen Caddick, 49, alive. He waited 30 hours before reporting her missing to police after corporate watchdog ASIC raided her home with a search warrant on November 11.
