A well-known Rebels bikie has been arrested in Sydney’s west as part of a major operation into an alleged drug syndicate with two others arrested in sweeping raids across the city.

Alleged OMCG drug ring targeted, $24m of MDMA seized

A high-profile Rebels bikie is back behind bars for allegedly being the ringleader of a major MDMA manufacturing and drug supply ring in Sydney’s west.

Matthew Rymer, the former president of the Penrith chapter of the Rebels OMCG, was arrested at his home in Cranebrook on Wednesday morning by heavily-armed officers as part of the Organised Crime Squad investigation - which led to officers seizing $24 million worth of drugs.

The heavily-tattooed Rymer was charged with four counts of supplying prohibited drugs, as well as manufacturing prohibited drugs and knowingly directing a criminal group.

Detectives attached to Strike Force Eastport carried out search warrants at Chatswood, Castlereagh, Shalvey and Punchbowl, where they not only seized 96kgs of drugs, but also $1 million cash and mobile phones.

Kalid Kaddour, 53, and Kyle Bruce, 32, were also arrested and charged with offences including supplying a large commercial of drugs.

Photos released by NSW Police of Rymer’s arrest show the heavily-tattooed bikie wearing a Chicago Bulls NBA jersey and slumped up against a fence, after being arrested and put in handcuffs.

Rymer faced Penrith Local Court on Thursday, with police alleging he first supplied 982.4g of MDMA in South Penrith on August 17 last year.

Court documents reveal that same day, Rymer allegedly also manufactured 5kg of MDMA at an Emu Plains address.

On the day he was arrested police further allege Rymer supplied 30kg of MDMA at Cranebrook.

Rymer did not apply for bail and was remanded in custody, with his matter adjourned for two weeks before a brief status mention on May 3.
