Manhunt underway after Fairfield road-rage incident

A manhunt is underway for a driver who left a man with serious injuries in a road-rage assault in Sydney’s west.

A manhunt is underway for a driver who left a man with serious injuries in a road-rage assault in Sydney’s west on Thursday.

Police were called to the intersection of the Cumberland Highway and Hamilton Road in Fairfield West shortly before 10pm where a man was located with serious leg injuries.

The 34-year-old was rushed to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers have commenced an investigation into the incident and are appealing for the driver of a black Ford Ranger displaying red P plates, believed to be in the area at the time who may be able to assist investigators.

Police believe there would have been motorists who witnessed the incident, or who would have dashcam relevant to the investigation and are asking anyone with information to contact Fairfield Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
