Man stabbed outside club in Revesby in horror attack

A 73-year-old man has been arrested and charged with four serious offences after he allegedly stabbed another patron outside a Sydney club.

A 28-year-old man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed multiple times outside of a club in Revesby on Wednesday morning.

Emergency services were called to the Revesby Workers’ Club at 4am after being informed a man had been found with stab wounds to his chest and sides.

The attack allegedly came after a 73-year-old man was kicked out of the club and then returned with a knife to threaten security.

The 28-year-old, who was witnessing the threats, tried to intervene but was then allegedly stabbed twice by the armed assailant.

The 73-year-old was wrestled to the ground and held down until police arrived.

The injured man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital where his condition is serious but stable.

Following enquries the 73-year-old was arrested at the scene and has been charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, attempt wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, excluded person fail to leave premises when required and common assault.

He was refused bail to appear before Bankstown Local Court on Thursday.
