A man is in hospital with serious head and face injuries after he was assaulted in Sydney’s east on Wednesday morning.
Police were called to a home on Yorktown Parade in Maroubra shortly before 1.25am following reports of an assault.
The 43-year-old was treated at the scene for a serious laceration to his neck before being taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a serious condition.
A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the incident has commenced. As inquiries continue police are urging anyone with information to contact Maroubra Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
