NSW Police to launch crackdown on youth crime rates

A 21-year-old man will face court on Tuesday after being charged with more than 80 offences linked to a string of aggravated break, enter and steal incidents across the Coffs Harbour region.

The arrest follows a major investigation by detectives from the Coffs and Clarence Police District, who in May 2025 launched Strike Force Bungaree to probe numerous property crime offences, some of which date back to October 2024.

Following extensive inquiries, police executed simultaneous search warrants at about 11.30am on May 26 at two properties — one on Antaries Ave and another on Arthur Street in Coffs Harbour.

The co-ordinated operation involved multiple specialist units, including the Region Enforcement Squad, the High Risk Domestic Violence Team, the Dog Unit, and General Duties officers.

The 21-year-old man and the woman were both refused bail and are expected to appear in Coffs Harbour Local Court today.

The other man was granted conditional bail and is due to reappear on 18 June.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and further charges may be laid.
