A man has been charged after he allegedly assaulted a 34-year-old in Sydney’s north, leaving him with critical injuries.

A man has been charged after he allegedly assaulted a 34-year-old in Sydney’s north, leaving him with critical injuries.
Police found the man with head injuries on Joubert St, Hunters Hill about 3.30pm on Monday.
He was then rushed to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition.
Following inquiries, police arrested a 42-year-old man at a unit on Joubert St just after 2am.
He was taken to Gladesville Police Station and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of other.
He was refused bail and will appear before Burwood Local Court on Tuesday.
Witnesses said a fight had broken out between two people before emergency crews were called.
On Monday evening, detectives were seen focusing on a nearby apartment block as they launched their investigation into the assault.
“About 3.30pm on Monday, emergency services responded to reports of an assault on Joubert St, Hunters Hill,” a NSW Police spokeswoman said on Monday.
“Officers from Ryde Police Area Command have established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation into the incident.
“Police are urging anyone with information about the matter – or who were in the area at the time with any available mobile phone/dashcam footage – to contact Ryde police station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000”.
