Nightclub boss John Ibrahim’s nephews have admitted to beating up a TikToker in a bloodied attack.
Hasan ‘Sam’ and his brother Hilal ‘Harley’ Sayour pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company at Downing Centre Local Court on Friday.
Mr Ibrahim is not accused of any wrongdoing.
Agreed facts reveal the victim, Samet Karasoylu, known as Sam Mario on TikTok, had dated a woman known on the same app as the Turkish Princess in June 2023, however, they “broke things off” a few weeks later.
Mr Karasoylu missed a call from Hasan on August 7, 2023 prompting a message asking “what’s the go”.
Hasan replied saying he needed “a favour” and that he thought he was “talking to a girl that you were seeing” called the ‘Turkish Princess”.
It later prompted Hasan to say “I’m talking to her now, I need you to do me a favour and not go near her again”, the facts state.
Mr Karasoylu said “what the f**k, you’re f**king married” and another message saying “that’s technically my ex, you think I’m a gronk”.
He received a barrage of calls despite blocking Hasan’s number.
Mr Karasoylu sent Hasan a message saying, “all this time, you treated me as a mate but saw me as a gronk, I’ll show you how gronks really are, f**k you and whoever you think you are, full bread (sic) enemies over a Turkish sl*t, congratulations”.
Later that night as Mr Karasoylu returned home from the gym, he saw Hilal banging on the glass door behind him with Hasan nearby.
Mr Karasoylu messaged Hasan saying “cops are on their way”. Hasan and Hilal have never been charged over the interaction.
Agreed facts state Mr Karasoylu went to work the next morning in Greenwich where during a break he went live on TikTok and started talking about Hasan, including about him being married and asking people to call the Turkish Princess a “sharmouta” — the Arabic word for sl*t.
After finishing up at work and walking to his car, Hilal jumped out of a dark ute and punched Mr Karasoylu in the face before putting him in a headlock.
The pair wrestled on the ground where Mr Karasoylu was then “punched in the head and face, (and) kicked in the ribs”.
Hilal then videoed Hasan punching the victim with it being uploaded to TikTok.
Hilal and Hasan fled the scene with Mr Karasoylu running into a nearby residence where he was helped by two women. However, he left a short time later and attempted to drive to a police station.
Mr Karasoylu was bleeding and in severe pain and was forced to pull over where he let off a flare to hail for help.
Agreed facts state Mr Karasoylu sustained a number of injuries, including fractures to his nose and a rib along with a number of cuts.
Hasan and Hilal were arrested a few days later.
The pair’s lawyer Olivia Branson confirmed their guilty pleas in court on Friday where their matter was adjourned for sentence in March.
