An elderly man has died days after being hit by a car in Sydney’s north
About 10.30am on Monday, emergency services were called to Sherbrook Ave, Hornsby following reports an 87-year-old pedestrian had been struck by a car.
Paramedics treated the man at the scene, before transporting him to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition.
He died in hospital on Wednesday.
The 34-year-old man who was behind wheel was uninjured following the incident.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
He was taken to hospital for mandatory testing at the time.
Officers from Kuring-Gai Police Area Command have commenced an investigation into the incident.
