A high-ranking Hells Angels bikie has been charged with waging a campaign of domestic violence against his ex-girlfriend.

Shayan Jaberiyanfar was arrested last week after an alleged incident with his ex-partner at her parents’ home in Liberty Grove, a suburb near Homebush.

The 29-year-old – who NSW Police allege is the president of the Hells Angels’ Liverpool chapter – was charged with more than 20 domestic violence related offences which police allege relate to incidents between October 2022 and May 2023.

Jaberiyanfar was also charged with possessing a gun he had allegedly asked his ex-girlfriend to hide on his behalf.

There is no allegation of wrongdoing by the bikie’s former partner and she has not been charged by police.

Police sources said it would be alleged in court that after accusing her of sleeping with his friend behind his back, Jaberiyanfar had made threats to kill his ex partner.

Jaberiyanfar is understood to have been the target of several attempts on his life since patching over to the Hells Angels from the Rebels.

He was shot multiple times in December 2021.

Six months later in May 2022 – at the height of Sydney’s underworld war – his home at Leppington in the outer western suburbs was the target of a drive-by shooting.

On that occasion a Mitsubishi Lancer parked outside Jaberiyanfar’s home on Carnelian St was damaged by multiple bullets.

Two men and a woman were in the house at the time, but no one was injured and no one has been charged over any involvement in the shooting.

Following his arrest last week he was charged with a total of 22 offences.

They include seven counts of common assault, two counts of intentionally choking a person, three counts of stalking or intimidating a person, possessing an unauthorised pistol and aggravated break and enter knowing a person is there.

Jaberiyanfar faced Burwood Local Court on Thursday where, he unsuccessfully applied for bail.

His lawyer Hisham Karnib told The Daily Telegraph his client intended to defend the charges.

“The matter is being defended at this stage and we are considering making a further application (for bail) to the NSW Supreme Court,” he said in a statement.

The alleged bikie boss will remain on remand until his next court appearance, again at Burwood, on July 5.
