Four men have been charged and a snake seized in a dramatic crackdown on an alleged drug supply network operating across Sydney’s west and regional NSW.

Detectives conducted five raids from 7am on Wednesday, targeting properties in Lalor Park, Seven Hills, Cowra, Macquarie Fields and St Marys as part of a long-running investigation into a criminal syndicate believed to be trafficking illicit drugs through Cowra and nearby areas.

The raids were supported by heavily armed squads, including the Raptor and Public Order and Riot squads.

The raids led to the arrest of four men across various locations, each now facing multiple charges for drug supply and other offences.

Police seized significant quantities of drugs, including over half a kilogram of methamphetamine, 750 grams of cannabis, two ounces of cocaine and 300 caps of heroin.
