Four firefighters have suffered minor injuries after a fire tore through a unit complex in Sydney’s west, causing the roof to collapse and leaving nine units extensively damaged.
Emergency services were called to the Halinda St property in Whalan shortly before 10pm on Tuesday, responding to reports of a building fire.
Fire and Rescue crews worked to extinguish the fire, which forced residents to evacuate.
No residents were reported injured.
However, four firefighters sustained minor injuries as they battled the flames, with the roof of the complex caving in during the emergency response.
