MacGill handed himself in to Day Street Police Station on Friday, where he was charged with intimidation and using offensive language in a public place.

Police also took out an AVO on Ms Ford’s behalf to protect her from MacGill.

“Two men have been charged after allegedly intimidating a woman in Sydney earlier this month,” a NSW Police spokesman said.

“Police will allege about 6pm on Tuesday, 1 February 2022, two men – aged 51 and 54 – approached a 56-year-old woman outside a home on Kent St, Millers Point, and verbally abused the woman before leaving the scene.

“A short time later, the two men approached the same woman outside a licensed premises on the same street and continued to verbally abuse her, before the older man assaulted the woman.

“The men left the scene and officers attached to Sydney City Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries.”

MacGill was released on police bail and ordered to abide by the conditions of the AVO, which say he cannot contact Ms Ford except through a legal representative.

He is also instructed not to assault, molest, harass or intimidate Ms Ford and cannot approach her place of work or where she lives. MacGill’s case and the AVO are listed for the Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday.

Kerlin was arrested at 7.30pm on the night of the alleged incident. He was charged with intimidation, common assault and contravening the restrictions of an AVO. Kerlin is listed to face Downing Centre Local Court on September 1.

The news heaps more bad news upon MacGill.

In April last year, police allege MacGill was kidnapped off the street outside his north shore home before being taken to a Western Sydney farm to be stripped naked and bashed.

According to documents tendered in the court cases of the men charged over the kidnapping, police allege MacGill was caught in the middle of a failed cocaine deal worth $660,000.

Police allege MacGill was held responsible by a crime syndicate after the ex-cricketer’s friend allegedly stole 2kg of the drug from them.

Police have stated publicly that they believe MacGill to be an innocent victim.
