A woman who was arrested wearing black leather lingerie after an e-bike rider was hit by a car in Sydney’s east has been charged with drink driving.
Emergency services were called to Moore Park early on Sunday morning following reports a black Subaru had collided with an e-bike.
Police and ambulance crews arrived at the scene on South Dowling Street near the intersection of Devonshire Street at 3.45am, to find a 29-year-old cyclist lying unconscious.
He was treated at the site by paramedics before being transported to St Vincent’s Hospital in a critical condition.
A 27-year-old woman who was allegedly driving the vehicle, returned a positive roadside breath test and was arrested by police. She was wearing only black leather lingerie and glasses at the time.
She was taken to Surry Hills Police Station where she underwent a secondary breath analysis returning an alleged reading of 0.095, before she was transferred to St Vincent’s Hospital for further mandatory blood and urine testing.
The Liverpool woman was charged with mid-range drink driving and issued a court attendance notice. She has not been charged over the collision with the cyclist.
She is due to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on March 14.
A crime scene was established and specialist officers from the Crash Investigation Unit examined the site of the crash.
