Drugs, cash found hidden in eskies in Sydney’s southwest: police

A man has been refused bail after being targeted in a drug operation in south west Sydney, where police allege 1kg of the drug ice and $180,000 in cash was found hidden in plastic eskies.

Police have allegedly uncovered 1kg of the drug ice and almost $200,000 hidden inside eskies in southwest Sydney.

Officers stopped 47-year-old Mark Andrew Dunstone driving a van on the Moore Oxley Bypass at Campbelltown on Friday morning.

Police then raided a unit on Tyler St and allegedly seized three modified plastic eskies with more than $184,000 and 1kg of ice inside.

It is alleged Dunstone also placed a tracking device on a woman’s car in January without her knowledge.

He is also the subject of an apprehended violence order application.

Dunstone was arrested and taken to Campbelltown Police Station, where he was charged with a string offences including drug supply, stalk and intimidate and use tracking device to find a person without consent.

Dunstone did not apply for bail when the case was mentioned in Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.

The case was adjourned to Campbelltown Local Court on Wednesday.
