Human remains have been found on a popular Central Coast beach, sparking a police investigation.
NSW Police confirmed human remains were found on the shoreline of Soldiers Beach, at Norah Head, at 11am on Thursday.
“Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation,” police said in a statement.
Images from the scene appear to show police on the beach where the body is believed to have been found.
The remains are yet to be formally identified and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
