Comanchero bikie Jonathon Allan Oneile‘s alleged taunts to police following incident at Pokolbin pub

Comanchero bikie Jonathon Oneile is alleged to have asked a police officer to “put your gun and badge down and we will go for a walk”.

What happens when you are charged with a crime?

With his bikie club emblazoned in ink across his scalp, Comanchero gang member Jonathon Allan Oneile had already allegedly warned a pub bouncer that he and his mates would “walk straight through you c**ts” when he was spoken to by police.

Police facts tendered in Cessnock Local Court on Friday set out in detail the conversation police allege they had with Oneile.

“You pretend with your little badges and you think you are mad c**ts but you are weak dogs,’’ Oneile is alleged to have said to a police officer.

“You are a weak motherf**king dog. You are lucky you are wearing that cause I will knock you the f**k out.’’

Police will allege the conversation continued, all being recorded on body-worn video, with Oneile taunting the officer to take him on in a brawl.

“Put your gun and badge down and we will go for a walk,’’ Oneile is alleged to have told the officer.

“You don’t mean shit to me, you are weak motherf**king dogs.

“You hide behind that little f**king badge. You are a dog.

“Without it I will cave you, you f**king maggot. You got that.

“That is not a threat, that is a f**king promise.’’

The alleged taunts form the basis of a charge of intimidating a police officer in the execution of their duty (without actual bodily harm) placed on Oneile following his arrest at Kurri Kurri on Thursday.

The 32-year-old faced Cessnock Local Court on Friday after also being charged with affray, failing to leave a licensed premises and being an excluded person who remained in the vicinity of a licensed premises.

The affray and failing to leave counts allegedly relate to an incident at Harrigan’s Pub at Pokolbin on November 13.

Police facts tendered to court during Oneile’s unsuccessful attempt to be released on bail said Oneile and two other men were refused entry to the popular wine country pub by security staff.

“I will walk straight through you c**ts. Do you think you guys can stop us,’’ Oneile is alleged to have said to one bouncer.

A second man, Christopher McBlane, 28, is alleged to have then punched the bouncer several times in the head before turning his sights on a second security officer, punching him several times before kicking him in the head.

McBlane was arrested days after the incident and has since pleaded guilty to one count of affray. He remains in custody and will reappear in court in February.

But it was not until Thursday when Hunter Valley police arrested Oneile, a fully-patched member of the Comanchero who has the club’s name tattooed across the front of his scalp.

He was taken into custody at a house on Mitchell St at Kurri Kurri on Thursday afternoon before being charged over the affray and the later intimidation of police.

Police do not allege Oneile threw any punches during the alleged incident at Harrigan’s.

Oneile’s release application in Cessnock Local Court failed and he was refused bail to reappear in the same court on January 19.
