Botany: 86-year-old man critical after being hit by car
A man has been rushed to hospital with critical injuries after he was hit by a car in Sydney’s south.

An elderly man is fighting for life after being hit by a car in Sydney’s south.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Sir Joseph Banks St and Botany Rd, Botany about 12.25pm after reports a pedestrian had been hit by a car.
An 86-year-old man was treated at the scene before being taken to St Vincent’s Hospital with critical head and pelvic injuries.
Police officers were seen taping off the area, which included a local petrol station and bus stop.
The driver of the car, a 33-year-old man, was uninjured in the collision.
He underwent a breath test at the scene, which returned a negative result, before being taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.
A crime scene has been established and police are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward and contact local police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
