A baby has tragically drowned on the Central Coast this afternoon.
Emergency services rushed to a property at Saint Huberts Island around 4pm on Saturday afternoon, after a one-year-old baby was pulled from a river unconscious.
Paramedics treated the baby at the scene, but the child sadly died after going into cardiac arrest.
Officers from Brisbane Waters Police District have commenced inquiries into the incident and a report has been prepared for the coroner.
St Huberts Island is a canal estate on Central Coast with a population of just over 1000, connected to the mainland at Daleys Point.
