The son of Australian boxing legend and former world champion Jeff Fenech has been hit with multiple domestic violence assault charges and remanded in custody.

Beau Fenech was not required to appear via video link at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday after he was charged with two counts of domestic violence-related assault occasioning actual bodily harm, along with two counts of common assault.

He is yet to enter pleas.

In court documents, police allege the younger Fenech assaulted a woman and occasioned actual bodily harm to her on January 7 or January 8 in Haberfield.

Just a few days later, Fenech is alleged to have assaulted the same woman again in Mascot.

Police further allege Fenech assaulted the woman and occasioned actual bodily harm to her in the same suburb in the early hours of January 22.

He was arrested on January 25 in Mascot, 10 mins after allegedly assaulting the woman again.

Fenech remains in custody on remand, with his lawyer, Nasser Hamowi, originally asking the court to stand the matter over so he could obtain obstructions.

Magistrate Daniel Covington ultimately adjourned the matter to February 12, when Fenech may enter pleas.

Fenech’s father is widely considered Australia’s greatest boxer, having held world titles across four separate weight divisions during his time in the ring.

Jeff was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2002.

Fenech was born in 1990 during the peak of his father’s career, when Jeff had won 24 professional fights without a loss.

Jeff also trained his long-term friend, former world heavyweight champion and “baddest man on the planet”, Mike Tyson back in 2005.

The Daily Telegraph has contacted Jeff for comment but is yet to receive a response.
