A second former nurse has been charged over a chilling anti-Semitic video filmed while the pair were working at a Sydney hospital.

Strike Force Pearl detectives arrested Ahmad Rashad Nadir, 27, at Sutherland Police Station on Tuesday and charged him with using a carriage service to menace, harass, or offend and possessing a prohibited drug.

The drug possession charge relates to morphine allegedly found in his work locker at Bankstown Hospital after the video, recorded by Israeli influencer Max Veifer, went viral.

Nadir has been granted conditional bail to face Downing Centre Local Court on March 19.

He was hospitalised for weeks over concerns for his mental health after the release of the video, in which he and fellow former nurse Sarah Abu Lebdeh, also 27, spoke to Mr Veifer through a video chatroom.

“I’m gonna be really honest with you,” Nadir told Mr Veifer in the video.

“You’ve actually got really, really beautiful eyes. But I’m so upset that you’re Israeli … eventually you’re gonna get killed and you’re gonna go to Jahannam (hell). But those pretty eyes they should stay in this world for longer.”

Nadir also told Mr Veifer he had “no idea how many Israeli haram dogs came to this hospital”.

“I send them to Jahannam,” he then said, making a throat-slitting gesture.

At another stage, Abu Lebdeh told Mr Veifer she wanted him to “remember my face so you can understand that you will die the most disgusting death”.

Mr Veifer began to ask “Let’s say an Israeli, God forbid …”

“I won’t treat them, I’ll kill them,” Ms Abu Lebdeh replied.

“Not God forbid, I hope to God.”

Abu Lebdeh was last week charged with threatening violence to a group, using a carriage service to threaten to kill and using a carriage service to menace, harass, or offend.

NSW Police Commissioner Karen Webb praised the work of Strike Force Pearl detectives, who have now arrested 15 people and laid a total of 78 charges.

“I must commend the work Strike Force Pearl detectives are doing to investigate, charge and put these individuals before the courts,” Ms Webb said.

“There is a tremendous amount of dedication and hard work going into all these investigations.”
