A man has been released after being questioned over the death of a woman
A man questioned by police over the weekend death of a 34-year-old woman in a forest cabin on the state’s mid-north coast has been released.

A 38-year old man questioned about the death of a 34-year-old woman he reported dead inside a cabin in a NSW forest has been released by police.
The man, who was known to the female, rang 000 on Saturday morning to report an emergency involving the woman at about 11.30am.
He said they were in a cabin on Old Blue Knob Road in the Bulga Forest on the state’s mid-north coast.
When ambulance and police arrived they found the woman had appeared to have suffered head injuries and the man told police that they had been in a car accident the previous evening.
About three kilometres west of the cabin, used by hikers to rest while bushwalking, they found a a silver Holden Rodeo off the roadway.
Both the cabin and the vehicle and areas surrounding them were roped off and declared as crime scenes.
The man was taken to Taree police station where he was questioned and yesterday was charged with breaching a apprehended violence order as well as driving while disqualified.
Police said the investigation into the woman’s death was ongoing and they are waiting for forensic results of the cabin and vehicle as well as the findings from a post-mortem.
The man has been ordered to appear in Taree Court on October 29.
