$2 million in illegal vapes and tobacco seized in Sydney raids
Police have thwarted millions of dollars of illegal vapes and tobacco from the streets after a vehicle stop and unit raid in Sydney.

Sydney detectives have stopped more than $2 million of illegal vapes and tobacco from hitting the streets as authorities continue a crackdown on the illicit industry.
Police also seized $870,000 in cash after a the State Crime Command’s Drug and Firearms Squad stopped a Toyota van on Arthur St in Homebush West on Monday.
Police said $40,000 was found in a satchel bag, $80,000 in a shopping bag and $750,000 in a suitcase.
Officers arrested the 37-year-old van driver and a passenger, 34, before taking them to Auburn Police Station.
Following further inquiries, detectives searched a unit on Arthur St in Homebush just after 8pm on Monday.
During the search detectives located and seized 50,000 vapes and 350,000 cigarettes. The combined street value of all items seized was over $2.3 million.
Both men were charged with knowingly dealing with proceeds of crime and were refused bail to appear before Burwood Local Court on Tuesday.
Investigations are continuing.
