Kirribilli stabbing: Man arrested after knife attack on Sydney’s North Shore

A 28-year-old man has been arrested by police and another left in hospital with multiple stab wounds after an alleged early morning dispute turned violent on Sydney’s north shore.

A 36-year-old man who was taken to hospital with stab wounds in Sydney’s north shore has been charged with affray.

Police were called to a property on the wealthy Carabella Street in Kirribilli around 2.40am after reports of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, detectives found a man suffering multiple stab wounds to his torso and head.

The 36-year-old was treated at the scene by paramedics and was transported to Royal North Shore Hospital with non-life threatening injuries before he was released later on Wednesday.

Another man, aged 28, was arrested at the scene and taken to Chatswood Police Station.

Both men were charged with affray and granted conditional bail to appear at Manly Local Court on July 9.

It is understood an altercation allegedly broke out between the two men - who police say were known to each other.

Forensic investigators took photos and gathered evidence at the scene.

Investigations are continuing.
