Hamzy to mum: ‘Once I’ve killed these three … I would be happy’

Bassam Hamzy’s firey temper is on full display in phone calls back home. In one call, he berates his sister for not answering on numerous occasions. But in another more chilling call, he tells his mother he wants his own brother and two former friends dead.

Bassam Hamzy was still calling the shots even while on the run. In one phone call, he berates his older sister for not being home when he calls, swearing as he recounts the number of times his phone calls went answered.

While in another intercepted phone call a firey Hamzy tells his mother Lola that he wants to kill his own brother., yelling “I hope a projectile can be launched from here and hit him on the head there”. And that once two other former friends are dead, he’d be happy.

Undated phone call between Bassam Hamzy and his mother Lola.

BH: Bassam Hamzy

LH: Lola Hamzy

BH: And the guns, okay, where are they?

LH: He said he’s hidden them

BH : Okay he’s hidden them. He’s sold them

LH: I know nothing. Don’t ask me about anything

LH: And what about life there, is it better than in Lebanon?

BH: Much better. There’s a farm I go often to the farm, and they have everything here

LH : Yeah, but is there any work so you can start working there?

BH: There is if I want to

LH: So work son. If you know that you…

BH : I’m returning. I’m returning. Do you think I’m going to spend the rest of my life her?

LH: Hang on until we’ve found out what that donkey has done and said

BH : I know what he’s done. He’s told the police everything. What more do you want to know? He gave them my name, he told them what had happened. He told them he knew I had I had the pistol and Khoder is coming to help him

LH: Yes, Khoder’s brother tole me yesterday that he would arrive next week

BH: Yes, I know. Both of them will die, okay

LH: Hey listen, listen, wait, wait

BH: First Nidal, then Khoder, then Mejid. Okay. These two, I’ll kill them

LH: No, we don’t want to have more catastrophes, one is enough for us

BH: Yes, I want catastrophes. I like catastrophes. You know, once I have killed these three if I then go to prison I would be happy

LH: No, no, we don’t want to kill

BH: My life will then have been completed because these three are my life

LH: No, no, son. We don’t want to kill anyone now. Take it easy, take it easy

BH : Where’s the car now?

LH: With Mejid. He’s going in it to…

BH: Aah, he’s happy f**king around in it while I’m losing money. He’s happy

LH: He goes to work in it because Nathan has the Telsta. Nathan goes to work in the other one, the brown. And he needs to go to work in that one

BH: He needs to go to work?

LH: He goes to work, yeah, because he’s working

BH : I hope he’ll die while in his work. I hope a projectile can be launched from here and hit him on the head there

LH: But why is that, son? Why are you saying that about your brother?

BH: Okay?

LH: Why?

BH: Hell, he’s not my brother, he isn’t. I have two Little Brothers and that’s it and Nathan and Ghassan are my brothers

LH: Don’t say this, son, it’s not good, don’t say that

BH: Okay, I don’t have a brother

LH: All right, why are you upset with him, what do you want from him? Tell me what you want

BH: Okay

LH: Yes, tell me what you want, what has he done to you?

BH: My car will have to go to Uncle Mohamed

LH: Okay, let him take it

BH: I hold him, next week, when he rand me I told him to take the car to Uncle Mohamed. The f**kwit said yes, and when Ghassen came to take it he told him no, you can’t have it. Who does he think he is, the hole in my prick? I’m going to kill him

LH: Okay, all right. Anyway, when Nathan tomorrow brings the car to me…

BH: Where are all my pistols? He’s sold them, hasn’t he?

LH : I swear son, I …

BH: How many pistols have you seen in the house?

LH: I don’t know what was in the house or what went out from the house. I don’t know anything. I’m telling you I don’t know. And when Nidal returned yesterday … oh by the way, is it true that you owe Nidal $3000?

BH: You tell him. ahh. but 3000?

LH: Anyway, I got into a quarrel with Nidal at my house

BH: What did he say? Did he speak with you?

LH: Huh?

BH: Did he speak with you?

LH: Did he speak with me?

BH: Yeah?

LH: No, how would he speak with me? I’m not a kid to let him speak with me. I said to him it was you to blame for everything, why are you blaming Bassam? He said am I to blame? I said yes, it is you to blame

BH: And what did he say?

LH: He said well I’m not blaming him. I said yes you are, you and your brother. He said it was your son who went, I said it wasn’t my son who went and told them. It was your brother who went and told them, when they bribed your brother with money he told them. And it was your brother who went to Lebanon and said he wanted to bring you…

BH: And

LH: He said don’t shout. I said I’ll shot and you have just to listen to what I’m saying

BH: Did you tell him not to shout?

LH: Yeah, he said don’t shout. I said you can’t tell me what. I can shout and talks. I said to him, you are the one to blame for everything and it was you who put him in trouble. The whole problem is because of you. I don’t care what will happen. I said to him, but the whole problem is because of you. I said to him all right he was in trouble, I mean he was going to be imprisoned but his lawyer had told him he would not be in prison for over twelve months. I said to him but it was you who put him in the trouble and your brother in now yapping, saying it wasn’t him and I don’t know who what. I said you are to blame for everything. He said he stopped talking to me in Lebanon. I said because you were mean to him. I said your brother…

BH: No no no I didn’t speak with them because I knew they were dogs

LH: Anyway, If you have the opportunity to work with your there, do work and forget about everything else

BH: You don’t worry about me, I can survive even on Mars. Nobody can say anything to me and nobody can lay a hand on me. I’m going to kill Mejid, to kill Nidal and to kill Khoder
