Timeline of events in Rachelle Childs’ murder in 2001

This is a timeline of events showing when Rachelle Childs went missing and was later found dead after she had been murdered. To this day, police have not caught her killer.

Rachelle Childs was 23 years old when she was killed, set alight and dumped in beachside scrub in June 2001.

Here is a timeline of events from June 7, 2001, when she was last seen, to late 2024 when her sister, Kristy Childs, was told by police that the assessment of her request for Rachelle’s case to be reopened and the reward increased had not been completed.
