AN Airbus carrying more than 300 people has veered off a runway during landing at Bangkok, injuring more than a dozen.
Landing gear in the nose of the passenger jet is believed to have collapsed, causing the Thai Airways Airbus 330-300 to slide out of control at the end of its flight from China.
The Bangkok Post reports passengers as saying that a loud noise was heard on landing and there was a fire at the right side of the aircraft.
The plane was evacuated using slides.
According to THAI, there were 287 passengers and 14 crew members aboard the direct flight from Guangzhou.
"A total 13 passengers were slightly injured. Injured passengers were ... sent to hospital for medical treatment," the airline said.
A later report suggested that 14 poeple had in fact been injured.
THAI president Sorajak Kasemsuvan said the airline had not moved the aircraft from the runway. Some flight delays were expected.
