Meet China’s top 10 influencers in Australia

They’re the influencers on China’s version of Instagram that have tens of thousands of followers. See the full list.

It’s China’s version of Instagram: the Little Red Book (‘Xiaohongshu’ or ‘RED’).

The rapidly-growing social media and e-commerce platform boasts a whopping 200 million users and lists some of China’s largest technology and e-commerce companies as investors.

While China itself has been plagued by uncertainty and punishing lockdowns, RED has become an important outlet for freedom and self promotion.

But the users are not confined to those living in the republic — it is a global phenomenon, embraced hugely by ex-pats living in Australia.

A look at the top 10 influencers offers us glimpses into a life of leisure and luxury, as well as some very diverse interests.

1. AriaAndBrandon‘sharing love life and life in general’

Location: Melbourne
Fans: approx. 3.3 million

The first thing you notice about AriaAndBrandon is their real estate videos as these youngsters look to buy an ideal house in Melbourne. But they are a long way from the typical first homebuyer — the places they inspect range in price from approximately $1.4 million to 1.6 million. One house they inspected in Melbourne boasted multiple bedrooms, a spacious living room, a courtyard, skylights and amenities, yet the pair lamented that they would ‘need to find a larger place to let Chip (their dog) to play.’
