Red Dead Redemption 2 – Trailer

Forget the Oscars and Golden Globe buzz, because 2019’s Game Awards nominees have been revealed.

2018’s Game Awards were dominated by profound single player experiences, with Red Dead Redemption winning four awards, while God of War took out the coveted Game of the Year prize.

This trend of amazing storytelling winning looks set to continue, with a stacked nominations list for the top award, including Death Stranding, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Resident Evil 2 and more.

While Death Stranding will be the favourite for many, the Resident Evil 2 remake is also in with a good chance, after recently winning Game of the Year at the Golden Joystick Awards.

Death Stranding has the most nominations with nine in total, while Control received eight, and Sekiro looms as a dark horse with five nods.

Australian based developers House House also received a nomination for their amazing and viral Untitled Goose Game.

Interestingly, Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order did not receive a single nomination, despite releasing on the cut-off date.

The Game Awards will be held at Microsoft Theatre, Los Angeles at 12:30pm AEDT on Friday the 13th of December 2019.
