AMAZON founder Jeff Bezos has not said a word about a biography published last month - but his wife had 922 of them to say in a scathing review attacking the book's accuracy.

Brad Stone, a senior writer with Bloomberg Businessweek and a former New York Times reporter, has written The Everything Store, a look at Mr Bezos and his company.

Many had wondered how Mr Bezos felt about the book given he hasn't said anything about it since it was released last month.

It is safe to say that MacKenzie Bezos's 922-word book review, posted on the books Amazon.com page, might sum up his feelings.

Ms Bezos called it "a lopsided and misleading portrait of the people and culture at Amazon.'’

The Everything Store has received raves for its comprehensive and meticulously researched details about Amazon’s history and its evenhandedness. Stone interviewed more than 300 people who work at or have worked at Amazon.

Mr Bezos starts off the review by criticising Stone for getting the date wrong when her husband read Kazuo Ishiguro's book Remains of the Day.

"If this were an isolated example, it might not matter, but it’s not. Everywhere I can fact check from personal knowledge, I find way too many inaccuracies, and unfortunately that casts doubt over every episode in the book," Ms Bezos wrote.

Jeff and MacKenzie Bezos have been married for 20 years.
