Aussie basketball superstar Ben Simmons kicked off the new NBA season in a pre-season tussle against a team from China in Philadelphia.
After all the hype videos and claims that he’d take shots if they’re open, Simmons hit a three with time winding down before the half in the Sixers’ pre-season opener against the Guangzhou Loong-Lions.

And it’s wasn’t a cheapy. His healthy three resulted in a standing ovation from the crowd. But the biggest and best reaction came from the 76ers bench.
Simmons has been widely criticised for his shooting, with many good judges, including Kobe Bryant, questioning whether he will ever develope a jump shot.
Has Simmons answered those critics? Time will tell.
