NICK Kyrgios is no longer at the top of the French Open’s hit list.

The feisty Australian - docked $6200 for an audible obscenity during a third-round loss - previously held the “honour” of attracting the heaviest fine at Roland Garros this year.

Not any more.

In a move which will doubtlessly disappoint Kyrgios’ detractors, he has been overtaken by German talent Alexander Zverev and the usually docile Spaniard Carla Suarez Navarro.

Zverev now leads the French Open fines race after copping a $8300 penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct during his loss to Austrian Dominic Thiem.

And 12th seed Suarez Navarro was pinged $7000 for receiving coaching during her fourth-round defeat.

Kyrgios was given a code violation at the end of the second set of his match for swearing.

The world No.19 escaped penalty for yelling ‘towel’ after being reported by umpire Carlos Ramos during his first-round match.

Tournament officials reviewed footage of the incident and quickly cleared Kyrgios.

Ramos, who has officiated in singles finals of all four grand slam tournaments and the 2012 Olympic men’s decider, has been part of two contentious incidents at Roland Garros over the past 11 days.

Apart from overreacting in the Kyrgios ‘towel’ episode, he drew a sharp response from Venus Williams when he accused the five-time Wimbledon champion of illegally receiving coaching.

Revered for her sportsmanship, Williams told Ramos: “Honestly, I’m 36-years-old, never in my career have I had a coaching violation.

“Just don’t even go there.”

When Ramos suggested that her coach David Witt was making signals toward her, Williams gave Ramos a withering look and said: “I would never tell anyone to do that. Just FYI.”

Spain’s Feliciano Lopez and Belgian David Goffin (audible obscenities) and France’s Richard Gasquet (illegal coaching) have all been fined $4150.
