Seven Aussies are in action today. Jordan Thompson, Alexander Vukic, Thanasi Kokkinakis, James Duckworth, Ajla Tomljanovic and Talia Gibson are chasing a spot in the third round.

Wet weather in Melbourne is expected to cause some scheduling headaches on Wednesday, with no play on outside courts before 11.30am.

Alex de Minaur made a solid start to his campaign on Tuesday night and impressed with an act of sportsmanship before making a mad dash to support his fiancee Katie Boulter.

But it wasn’t such good news for fellow Aussies Alexei Popyrin, Rinky Hijikata, Emerson Jones, Olivia Gadecki and Kim Birell, who lost their first round matches.

Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic are also in action today.
