IT’S not just the Wallabies who have history against them at Eden Park this Saturday.
Their female counterpart Wallaroos will be looking to end a horror winless streak against the Kiwis in the first ever women’s curtain-raiser to the Bledisloe Cup.
The Wallaroos have lost all 13 Tests against the New Zealand women’s XV, the Black Ferns.
“Zero from 13 but I feel like our team is developing every day,” Wallaroos captain and playmaker Ashleigh Hewson said.
“We’ve had good preparation. We’ve definitely got the talent to beat this team or give it a good crack.”
The Wallaroos have not played a Test since 2014.
While Australia’s women’s sevens team has been receiving high praise for winning Olympic gold in Rio this year, the XVs side struggles for exposure.
“All credit to them, but we definitely wouldn’t be envious,” Hewson said.
“It’s definitely going to assist us I think in the long run.”
