Sydney Uni Flames falter, Boomers crash and Lightning strike in WNBL

THE Flame squandered the chance to take the lead in the WNBL, the Boomers suffered a pair of defeats and a new team hit the top of the points ladder in a dramatic fourth round of basketball action.

The Flame squandered the chance to take the lead in the WNBL, the Boomers suffered a pair of defeats and a new team hit the top of the points ladder in a dramatic fourth round of basketball action.

Dandenong finally avenged their Grand Final series defeat with a two-point thriller over the Flames that knocked the defending champions out of top spot.

The Boomers had a round to forget with defeats at the hands of both the Flames and Townsville Fire.

Adelaide Lightning moved into top spot at the end of the round thanks to their pair of victories over Canberra and Bendigo.
