WHAT an extraordinary comeback to the world netball stage.
Even in her wildest dreams netballer Madi Robinson could not have imagined making such an impact and it’s has earned her SwoopPLAY OF THE WEEK.
After 675 days out of international competition, Robinson returned with a bang.
A really loud bang.
Robinson picked up MVP honours in Australia’s 25-goal win over South Africa in the opener of the Quad netball aeries in Auckland.
She then further impressed in Australia’s win over England in their second game of the Quad series in Adelaide.
Robinson had been working towards representing the Diamonds at last year’s world championships when her dream was cruel led by a ruptured anterior cruciate.
But the Melbourne based player the fought her way back to make the Australian team for the current Quad series and the squad for the upcoming Constellation Cup series between the Diamonds and Silver Ferns.
Robinson joins the likes of Matildas captain Lisa De Vanna, Opals and WNBA star Penny Taylor, paddler Jessica Fox, Olympic track cyclist Anna Meares and equestrian Edwina Tops-Alexander as a winner of a Swoop Play of the Day or Play of the Week.
