Same name, different outfit to the one most rugby league fans know.
But these women also know how to turn heads on the field and wear the NSW jersey with the same pride.
Stars on the field, the glammed up NSW women’s rugby league team came close to stealing the show at the annual Brad Fittler Medal awards in Sydney on Monday night.
The women’s team were honoured on the night for their victory in the women’s equivalent of the State of Origin — the interstate challenge.
SALLY FITZ AND THE BUSINESS OF WINNING
The Blues beat the Maroons 22-6 victory in the annual showdown - NSW’s second consecutive win after ending Queensland’s 17-years domination of the match in 2016.
Two of their own also snared the top women’s awards on the night.
Jillaroos lock Simaima Taufa claimed the Harvey Norman NSW State Player of the Year title, an award voted on by her peers.
IS THIS LEAGUES GREATEST DEBUT?
Caitlin Moran was named Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership Player of the Year.
The main honour on the night went to David Klemmer.
