The to Australian surf lifesaver says she has no regrets missing the fourth round of the Nutri-Grain series to attend her sisters wedding - a decision which could well cost her the professional ironwoman crown this weekend.

With athletes able to drop their worst performance from their pointscore, Miller is still in with a change of winning the crown - if she can better great mate and training partner Maddy Dunn who leads the series overall.

“We are such great mates we will be happy for each other no matter what happens,’’ Miller said ahead of the series finale at Wanda Beach on Saturday.

“The wedding of my sister is something I would never miss. You don’t get those special moments all the time.

“I have plenty of opportunity ahead in ironwoman. I put love ahead of it and I don't regret it for a second.

“There’s still a possibility I can get up and with swell coming, anything can happen.’’

With her worst result of the series - the missed round — dropped, Miller is sitting in second place behind two-event winner Dunn and ahead of defending series champion Brielle Cooper.

“I just have to go out there and try and win the race and see if that's good enough,’’ said the Northern Beaches surf star who has relocated to the Gold Coast to train alongside the likes of Dunn, round winner Hannah Scully, injured ironwoman champion Harriet Brown and former series titleholder Courtney Hancock at Northcliffe.

Miller attributes her new training ground to her success this season, which started with victory at the Coolangatta Gold in October.

“We have all been lifted to a new level by training with each other,’’ Miller said.

“We push so hard but we are great friends.

“If any one of us wins we will be so happy.’’

Ali day heads the pointscore in the men’s racing.

The finale of the Nutri-Grain series is being run in conjunction with the Ocean6 surf series at Wanda Beach.

The iron racing will start around 12.30pm.
