SURF ironwoman Jordan Mercer is ensuring the family name stays front and centre in the sporting world with a second world title in a week - and 10th in her paddleboard career.
Jordan Mercer and fellow Aussie Lachie Lansdown on Sunday won the technical races at the world paddleboard championships in Denmark.

Both paddlers won the world distance crown last week - Mercer’s success coming just days after the death of her ironman uncle Dean, who she dedicated her first world title to a week ago.
Mercer’s latest win comes just days after a service for her uncle on the Gold Coast attended by hundreds of past and present ironman and ironwoman and surf legends.
The young surf star was delighted to be back in top form after a foot injury sidelined her for much of the year.

“To be out there healthy and feeling fit is incredible,” said Mercer, who missed the two-day Nutri-Grain ironman event this year with a foot injury.
‘’To be back racing and able to go as fast as I want to go is something that I really missed this past year with injures.’’
“Today I had the opportunity to defend my title, but more importantly to inspire my teammates.
The latest gold medals by Australian paddlers follow on from Shakira Westdorp defending her women’s SUP surfing world crown.
“The level of women’s SUP surfing is going through the roof and being on the top of that is pretty special. I am over the moon right now,” she said.
