GIANTS young gun Jamie-Lee Price picked up Player of the Tournament but the Australian under 21 team have been beaten to the World Cup netball crown by New Zealand.

GIANTS young gun Jamie-Lee Price picked up Player of the Tournament but the Australian under 21 team have been beaten to the World Cup netball crown by New Zealand.
The top netballing nations contested the final in Botswana with New Zealand emerging with a three goal win to defend the last crown they won back in 2013.
New Zealand secured their fourth World Cup with a 60-57 victory over the young Australians.

The Aussies showed early domination to lead 17-14 at the first break and by one at halftime.
But by the third period the Kiwis were in control, taking a 45-41 lead into the final period.
New Zealand have now won three of the last four editions of the World Youth Cup, dating back to 2005.
The daughter of former rugby league star Steve Price, Jamie-Lee claimed the top individual award at the event.
The 21-year-old, who has re-signed with the Giants for Super Netball 2018, played every game at the tournament and made a big impact in the mid-court.
