GIANTS defender Bec Bulley was happy just showing new mums they could net it all - a family and the game they love.
She never, even for a second, contemplated a return to wearing the green and gold again after retiring from the Diamonds with a world title in 2015.
But with her old form back - perhaps surpassed - and Bulley enjoying “every second’’ of her Super Netball experience, the 34-year-old mother-of-one has conceded she will have a good think about throwing her hat into the ring for next year’s Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast.
SWIFTS FLATMATES ON THE DEFENCE
“I don’t know really. It’s something to think about I guess,’’ said Bulley when asked if she will nominate for the Australian team.
“A Commonwealth Games in your home country would be special.
“I just don’t know how motivated I am. I have to have a good think about it.’’
Lured out of retirement to play for old coach Julie Fitzgerald after the birth of daughter Indie, now one, Bulley said she is proud to think she might inspire other mums to return to the game after starting a family.
THANKS AUSTRALIA! WHY ENGLAND IS IMPROVING
With Australian coach Lisa Alexander a vocal supporter of mothers returning to the court, the door has swung wide for a number of new mums to return to the highest level of the sport.
These include former Diamonds captain Laura Gietz, mother of twins Renae Ingles and even Bulley herself.
The Giants take on the West Coast Fever this weekend in round 10 of Super Netball.
The Giants go into the game off a loss to the Magpies which saw them fall from first to third place overall on the league ladder.
