INSPIRATIONAL captain Meg Lanning has been cleared to play with all but two members of the Southern Stars team named for a Sri Lankan tour next month part of the ICC World T20 campaign earlier this year.

Lanning, who earned widespread praise for her match-winning innings against South Africa with a shocking bout of gastro at the World Twenty20 championships, has overcome a recent shoulder tear in time for selection.

“It’s coming along really well,’’ said Lanning, who has been preparing for the conditions in Sri Lanka at a training camp in Brisbane.

“The plan is to play every game.’’

Lanning believes she and her teammates will have more success than their male counterparts on Sri Lankan soil.

“Sri Lanka will pose a different threat at home so it will be good to be exposed to that,’’ Lanning said
