THE inaugural Broncos women’s team is ready to claim Brisbane as its own.
The Broncos will unveil their 22-player squad at their season launch on Friday, with The Courier-Mail given the exclusive first look at their jerseys for the history-making NRL season.
With kick-off just one month away, the squad is already ramping up its preparations in the fight for the inaugural premiership.
Talented duo Kody House and Meg Ward pulled on the jerseys, which were designed to be “distinctly Broncos” but also represent a new era.

House said she could not believe she was officially part of the Broncos brand.
“It’s such a well-known name,” House said.
“Everyone knows who the Broncos are and to be running out at places like Suncorp Stadium before a men’s game, to be a part of that Broncos family, it’s a massive honour.”
The women’s season will kick off in the second week of September, with the draw to be determined by the men’s NRL finals.
The Broncos will play against the Roosters, Dragons and Warriors, with House and Ward dedicating the season to the players who have paved the way before them.
Ward said the grand final at ANZ Stadium on September 30 — to be played ahead of the men’s final — was the ultimate goal but the team also hoped they could influence the next generation.
“I used to look up to Darren Lockyer or Sam Thaiday and hopefully now those girls can have us to look up to,” Ward said.
“They can see us on the big stage and say, ‘I want to be Kody House or Meg Ward or Ali Brigginshaw’. They can be excited to one day be part of this competition.”
