BEAT THE BOOKIE: VALUE BETS

MOONEE VALLEY (Friday night)

NICK QUINN (TAB). Form: 11311

TUSCAN SLING

Race 6, No. 1

Track and distance specialist in well at the weights after the claim for Harry Coffey. Has had four starts at the Valley for three wins and a second and has won four and placed twice over the 955 trip.

TAB Fixed Odds: $1.95

FLEMINGTON

MATT STEWART (Herald Sun). Form: 4321x

TASHBEEH

Race 7, No. 1

Two runs over spring huge and has claim and perfect gate against this off season lot.

TAB Fixed Odds: $2.90

ROD NICHOLSON (Herald Sun). Form: 34290

RED BOMBER

Race 4, No. 2

Smart sprinter who was disadvantaged out back when resuming at Ballarat. Working super at Caulfield and ready to win again.

TAB Fixed Odds: $7.50

DANNY RUSSELL (Herald Sun). Form: 04196

YELLEN

Race 9, No. 10

Building a picket fence. Stepping up in grade but flying and can make it four on the trot.

TAB Fixed Odds: $2.70

SIMON MOY (Superracing) Form: 046x4

SISTINE DEMON

Race 8 No. 4

Hasn’t been the same horse since The Goodwood disaster 18 months ago. Has he turned to corner and recaptured his best? Not a bad effort first-up over 1000m at Moonee Valley on November 28. Could be the one.

TAB Fixed Odds: $5.50

CHRIS VERNUCCIO (Superracing). Form: 10610

TASHBEEH

Race 7, No. 1

Knocking on the door for a win and this isn’t a strong field she’ll be up against. Dylan Dunn’s 3kg claim a big bonus.

TAB fixed odds: $2.90

RANDWICK

NIC ASHMAN (Daily Telegraph). Form: 33617

DUBLIN LASS

Race 8, No. 3

Highly progressive sprinting mare coming off a strong win. Reckon she might end up a genuine Group horse.

TAB Fixed Odds: $2.80

STEPHEN ZAMMIT (Daily Telegraph). Form: 69467

DUBLIN LASS

Race 8, No. 3

This mare is flying at present for team Snowden, racing away to win the 1100m Starlight Stakes at Rosehill on November 28. She has won over this course and distance, has drawn beautifully in barrier four and has Blake Shinn to do the steering. That is a winning formula.

TAB Fixed Odds: $2.80

JOHN DAVIS (Daily Telegraph). Form: 23108

RULE THE RIVER

Race 1, No. 4

Looks a star in the making and has the gears to prove it. Cruised past midweek company to score emphatically at Warwick Farm last time. Carries same weight on Saturday and mares in form must be followed.

TAB Fixed Odds: $3.80

SHAYNE O’CASS (Sportsman). Form: 37406

DANCES ON STARS

Race 8, No. 5

Keen to try this gelding here even though logic suggests it’s Dublin Lass all-day! That said, gambling is about buying and selling and I reckon the price we can buy Dances On Stars at to win is better value than what we will get about the obvious (Dublin Lass). Trainer Gerald Ryan is a bit bullish actually about Dance On Stars and that’s the kinda thing you want to hear when backing a long shot to beat a very, very in-form and high class mare.

TAB Fixed Odds: $15

DARREN PRENDERGAST (Superracing). Form: 63512

DUBLIN LASS

Race 8, No. 3

Talented mare in great nick this preparation. Scored an impressive win last start and, from an inside draw, will be hard to beat again.

TAB Fixed Odds: $2.80

DOOMBEN

BRAD DAVIDSON (Gold Coast Bulletin). Form: 32481

ANNAMAN

Race 1, No. 3

These staying races can be a nightmare but it’s hard to see anything beating Annaman here. His run last start over this track and trip was very good and he lost all momentum when he copped a nasty check at the 600m mark. He was coming again on the line and before that he brained his opposition over the same trip albeit on a wet track. Looks a class above these and should win.

TAB Fixed Odds: $3.60

MARKET: TAB FIXED ODDS

MORPHETTVILLE PARKS

LINCOLN MOORE (The Advertiser). Form: x2822

MASTER OF MONEY

Race 2, No. 5

Liked the way he found the line to go down narrowly last time. Just up to the 1950m, small field looks ideas and he gets his chance to bounce back into the winners circle.

TAB Fixed Odds: $4
