ROSEHILL

JOHN DAVIS (Daily Telegraph). Form: 400x3

LEGERITY

Race 1, No. 1

Just found Chipanda too strong in a similar event here last month but gets his chance to atone with the two-kilogram claim for Koby Jennings. Rates highly.

TAB Fixed Odds: $3.80

DARREN PRENDERGAST (SuperRacing). Form: 9547x

SONS OF JOHN (Scratched)

Race 8, No. 1

Kept chasing hard in Scone Cup after only battling home first-up at Hawkesbury. Nearing peak now and is unbeaten in two starts at 1800m.

TAB Fixed Odds: $7

MARKETS: TAB FIXED ODDS

SANDOWN HILLSIDE

MATT STEWART (Herald Sun). Form: x1418

YELLEN

Race 2, No. 3

High class mare who was good first-up and spacious track suits.

TAB Fixed Odds: $7

DANNY RUSSELL (Herald Sun) Form: 11342

RAPOSO

Race 9, No. 11

Proven winter-class horse. Scratched last week for this race and flew in a recent trial.

TAB Fixed Odds: $18

MICHAEL MANLEY (Herald Sun) Form: 8763x

YELLEN

Race 2, No. 3

Consistent mare who resumed with a fast finishing effort when second at Cranbourne. Has won two of three second up and should settle handier to the lead. $8.50 looks nice each-way value.

TAB Fixed Odds: $6.50

CHRIS VERNUCCIO (SuperRacing). Form: 76022

JALAN JALAN

Race 8, No. 3

Forgive run last start. This looks a thin field and she’s perfectly drawn to take up her customary front-running position.

TAB fixed odds: $4.20

NICK QUINN (TAB). Form: 40935

CLEMENCY

Race 2, No. 7

Smart mare from the Robert Smerdon stable who has never finished worse than second in three previous first-up attempts. Looked good in a recent Cranbourne barrier trial and should be in the money.

TAB Fixed Odds: $6.50

SIMON MOY (SuperRacing). Form: 36700

BELESRON

Race 9 No. 6

Nice effort last start when made ground late to finish third over 1100m at Caulfield (Bm90). Extra distance should help.

TAB Fixed Odds: $4.60

MARKETS: TAB FIXED ODDS

MORPHETTVILLE

Heart Of A Lion will be hard to beat on Saturday. Picture: Tom Huntley

BEN SCADDEN (The Advertiser). Form: 01204

GOLDEN BUCKLEBOO

Race 3, No. 5

Returned to racing in good style with close-up efforts at his only three starts this campaign, including two-length fifth under these conditions last time in good-quality race. Should be nearing his peak and looks an each-way bet to nothing.

TAB Fixed Odds: $5

LINCOLN MOORE (The Advertiser). Form: 8233x

HEART OF A LION

Race 7, No. 3

Talented local who found the line well first-up before racing up on the speed and fading behind Illustrious Lad. Has won two of four (with two 2nds), loves the sting out of the ground and this looks his chance to bounce back to winning form.

TAB Fixed Odds: $4.60

MARKETS: TAB FIXED ODDS

EAGLE FARM (Abandoned)

NATHAN EXELBY (The Courier-Mail). Frm: 11674

PROVOCATIVE

Race 7, No. 19

Seems silly that Provocative is now a bigger price than she was before the final field. You were asked to take $7.50 ‘all in’ on Monday, but now you can get $9 and $10 in places with a guarantee of getting your money back if she doesn’t get in? She’s a good gamble in this if she squeezes in. No doubt she has more staying power than most rivals and it doesn’t look a vintage Oaks. She is the one with the most upside and love that New Zealand Classic form this season.

TAB Fixed Odds: $8

BEN DORRIES (The Courier-Mail). Form: x0550

CHARNLEY RIVER

Race 1, No. 6

Woorim’s brother shouldn’t have a problem in the wet ground and has shown plenty of potential without winning. Blowout hope.

TAB Fixed Odds: $19

BRAD DAVIDSON (Gold Coast Bulletin). Form: 6x290

TARGET IN SIGHT

Race 6, No. 3

Caught the eye late in the BTC Cup and his form before that was full of merit. The 1300m is as far as he wants it but he thrives on wet ground and looks well placed here. The $8.50 is overs.

TAB Fixed Odds: $8.50
