MATT STEWART ASSESSES THE FORM
AZKADELLIA
Trapped in diabolical spot on inside quicksand last start. Beaten long way but so many were on reopening day of this track. What does it all mean? She will improve, obviously, and helped by draw. But it’s the same track as a fortnight ago …
DANISH TWIST
Flying and no reason why won’t measure up. Flogged the boys last start and returns to own sex. Inside was “offski’’ here a fortnight ago and she’s drawn barrier one. Hmmm.
PRECIOUS GEM
Has been running out of her skin all prep, including Straddie. On face value she is drawn perfectly.
CRADLE ME
Beaten by star Godolphin mare two starts back and sailed up the slops to win here last start. That was a better effort that it reads. Chance.
MISS COVER GIRL
Racing well but jury out on whether she’s quite good enough.
JESSY BELLE
Dr Doolittle (Chris Symons) aiming for his first Group 1. Drawn well, racing well enough to be some chance.
SULTRY FEELING
Coming off Sangster flop and jury out on 1400m.
PRESS REPORT
Two wins from 30. Press report says “can’t win.’’
SCARLET BILLOWS
Weir factor always in back of mind but win would shock.
ECHO GAL
Dashed for home, then nailed late last start. Fair before that. Suspect not the worst.
ARTISTRY
Snowdon factor will have many keen and was excellent when ran on hard in Dane Ripper. Can win.
PALAZZO PUBBLICO
OK last start when drew off the track. Can be placed.
ONEMOREZEETA
Modest tempo helped last start when clung on for fourth. Fringe top five chance.
BEATNIKS
One of the better runs against the tempo last start. Not the worst.
BLUEBERRY HILL
Longshot but she will be one of the late swoopers.
MY POPPETTE (Scratched)
Barrier might not be major hindrance if they’re winning off the rails. OK after wide run last start.
SPORTSMAN PREVIEW: EAGLE FARM
SPEED MAP
Hardly hectic. ECHO GAL, MISS COVER GIRL and ONEMOREZETA will race on-pace but no defined leader. Might make run-on task of AZKADELLIA tougher.
MATT STEWART SELECTS
1) ARTISTRY
2) DANISH TWIST
3) AZAKADELLIA
