ROSEHILL

Track: Good 4. Rail: True

RACE 1: PRECISE AIR HANDICAP (1900m)

Overview: Messy race to begin with. There’s not much between the Chris Waller trio in Yiyi, Our Intrigue and Crystal Pegasus. There doesn’t seem to be a great deal of speed here which will make this a real tactical battle. Bazooka isn’t without a chance as well.

BETTING: ADVICE: Slight leaning to Yiyi.

RACE 2: TAB HIGHWAY CLASS 2 HANDICAP (1500m)

Overview: I’m convinced Kermatin is the best horse here and there’s just a query on where she gets to from the gate. She should be strongest last here all the same. Yulong Base sets up OK here with the shades on out in trip, while Chase My Crown had no luck last start in what’s been a decent form race. So Say You will also have admirers.

BETTING: ADVICE: Kermatin the one to beat but Yulong Base and Chase My Crown have chances at odds.

Cuban Royale

RACE 3: MIDWAY HANDICAP (1300m)

Overview: Pretty keen on Cuban Royale here and he has the best lead in form for this. He gets in well after the claim and 1300m on a dry Rosehill is his perfect set up. I’m also expecting Obvious Step to run a much better race and she’ll close off well late. There are other hopes to but I’m focusing around Cuban Royale.

BETTING: ADVICE: Cuban Royale to win.

RACE 4: DRINKWISE COLIN STEPHENS QUALITY (2400m)

Overview: No Compromise was a good thing beaten in the Newcastle Gold Cup and he just has to do that at 2400m on a drier track now. Entente (the distance is a query), Fun Fact, Sound Of Cannons and Pesto (tempo against last start) are all capable.

BETTING: ADVICE: Leaning to No Compromise.

SuperCoach Racing is back for 2021

RACE 5: PETALUMA HERITAGE STAKES (1100m)

Overview: I’ve got a bit more work to do on this race yet but King Of Sparta has to have great claims despite the horrible draw. Paulele was a bit disappointing second up but can bounce back, while Home Affairs always profiled like a three-year-old and has been trialling well leading in.

BETTING: ADVICE: Not much between 3,2 and 4.

RACE 6: NED WHIKEY SHANNON STAKES (1500m)

Overview: Discharged needed the run fresh but he can jump out of the ground here second up. Love Tap was dominant last start when the blinkers went on and it’s just a case of whether he can reproduce that now. Chat is flying and must be respected, while Archedemus can improve sharply here.

BETTING: ADVICE: Discharged at the odds perhaps.

RACE 7: KEENELAND GOLDEN PENDANT (1400m)

Overview: Nimalee sets up well here and she just had to get too far back first up. She can settle closer here and I think she’ll run a big race. Entriviere is the obvious horse to beat but the map is tricky and she will be on a firmer track here as well. Icebath, Forbidden Love and Fituese on the next line.

BETTING: ADVICE: Nimalee to win.

RACE 8: XXXX GOLDEN ROSE (1400m)

Overview: This doesn’t look a strong edition of the Golden Rose but he is terribly hard to beat, Anamoe. He was too good fresh and 1400m is much better for him. If there’s a danger, it’s the map. In The Congo maps to get a soft lead and he will be a few lengths in front of Anamoe in the run. Artorius, Remarque and Captivant on the next line.

BETTING: ADVICE: Anamoe clearly on top.

RACE 9: ACY SECURITIES GLOAMING STAKES (1800m)

Overview: Extremely open race with plenty of chance. Notions has been ticking over well and she gets some good favours on speed here and can run well. Money From The Sky pulled up slow to recover last start but his run prior was super. Arnaqueur and Alegron should both appreciate the extra trip, while Profondo has claims but looks terribly short in betting.

BETTING: ADVICE: Notions on top in a very tricky race.

RACE 10: ELITE SAND AND SOIL HANDICAP (1400m)

Overview: What do we do with Ellsberg? He could have trialled better but if he is ready, he is clearly the one to beat. I’m not a big fan of the blinkers coming off for this galloper. Kiku should get a nice enough run here and she will close off late, while I love the gear change for Academy and he can run a much better race here with the shades off. Ventura Ocean next best.

BETTING: ADVICE: Ellsberg to win.
